Meet Adhi
Ayubowan, and a very warm welcome. My name is Adhi, and I live in the beautiful south of Sri Lanka, near the famous beach town of Mirissa. I was born and raised in Dondra (Devinuwara), home to the tallest lighthouse in Sri Lanka.
I love meeting people from different countries and sharing the real Sri Lanka with them. For me, guests are not just customers — they become friends. I enjoy showing the hidden places, the beautiful beaches, the wildlife, village life and authentic Sri Lankan culture that most visitors never get to see.
I also love introducing my guests to our local flavours — achcharu, chilli paste, wambatu moju and other traditional foods. Sometimes I even share a Sri Lankan lunch with my guests, so they can experience our culture in a genuine way, not just from behind a car window.
My favourite place is Mirissa and the southern coast near my hometown — beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, whale watching and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. It is where I grew up and learned to appreciate Sri Lankan culture and hospitality. I love taking guests there because I want them to experience not only the famous attractions, but also the peaceful local lifestyle that makes this part of Sri Lanka so special.

Your own accommodation, entrance fees and personal expenses are not included. Longer tours have lower daily rates — larger groups and different vehicles can be arranged on request.
Travelling as a larger group or family? For couples and small groups of up to about 3 people, Adhi's comfortable air-conditioned car is ideal. For bigger groups and families, his air-conditioned Toyota van has plenty of room, plus luggage, so everyone travels together — indicative van rate from around US$90 per day. Just tell him your group size and he'll arrange the right vehicle.

Is Sri Lanka safe to visit?
Yes. Sri Lanka is a warm, welcoming country and travellers are made to feel at home. Travelling with a private driver-guide means you always have someone local looking after the details and making sure you feel comfortable from start to finish.
Do I need a visa?
Most visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), applied for online before you arrive. As of mid-2026, nationals of around 40 countries — including Australia, the UK, the US, Canada, the EU, India and others — can get the 30-day tourist ETA free of charge; other nationalities pay a small fee. Entry rules can change, so please confirm the current requirements for your passport on the official Sri Lanka ETA portal (eta.gov.lk) when you plan, and I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
How much does a tour cost?
Tours start from around US$80 per day. That’s an indicative all-in rate covering a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, fuel and my time as your driver and guide. I’ll always give you a clear price before we set off — no surprises.
Can you plan a custom itinerary?
Absolutely. Tell me how many days you have and what interests you, and I’ll suggest a route. We can adjust the plan as we go — the trip is built around you.
Can you arrange activities like safaris and whale watching?
Yes. As well as driving and guiding you, Adhi can arrange your activities and experiences directly — safari jeeps, whale and dolphin watching, Madu River boat safaris, village tours and more. He works with trusted, experienced local partners (for example, skilled safari jeep drivers who know the parks and put safety first), so you can book everything through one person at the best local rates and enjoy a safe, hassle-free trip. Some activities are seasonal, so just tell Adhi what you'd like when you plan your tour and he'll sort out the details and exact costs with you.
Is this suitable for families?
Yes — families are very welcome. I’m patient with changing plans, careful on the roads, and happy to suggest things children will enjoy along the way.
